A young couple live in a traditional grass hut with their extended family. The grandmother weaves the traditional thais which are worn more frequently than any other clothing. Each thais takes approximately 40 hours to make and can sell for about $10 to $20 USA in the market place in Dili. Weaving is taught from one generation to the next. |
