Grace attends a community meeting held at a local church that also serves as the community school. The majority of the women in attendance have attended the NGO?s training programs and are either current participants or graduates. The women have come together to discuss various issues in the community, specifically the establishment of a health clinic and to advocate for land from the local leaders. Responding to one of the speakers comments, the women clap and point with an extended arm, a hallmark gesture of the NGO that encourages the women to acknowledge and praise other women. |
