| Caption: |
The third railway passenger terminal for the city is at Chitpur, the first two being Howrah and Sealdah. Its name is "Kolkata". It started operating from the year 2005. Previously the place was being used as a loading-unloading yard for the goods trains, which has been overhauled as a part of the effort to build the passenger terminal. However recently the local residents have accused the place of creating much noise, smoke and dust thus disturbing a peaceful living. |
