Recent drive in urbanization in Kolkata has resulted in a boom in real estate business. Many new housing complexes, shopping complexes and the likes are being erected on every available land area both inside and at outer fringe of the city. People are selling off their property to the land promoters in exchange of occupying an appartment flat and some money, to save them from maintenance hassles. Land and property related disputes and crimes are also on rise. |
